My name is Kareli and I am proud to say that I love violin, ballet, painting watercolors any type of crafts, and building.
I am 9 and 3/4 years old ( the Hogwarts train platform!) and my birthday is July 20, 2012. I love animals, I have 2 puppies, and 10 chickens, and I hope to have more pets when I am older. I go to school at Thoreau Elementary. Currently, I am in 4th grade with my wonderful teacher Mrs. Hein.
I have been playing the violin for almost 3 years since I got it for my 7th birthday (it was my birthday wish). I practice daily and love my violin teacher Ms. Bridget, who always makes it fun and exciting.
Thank you for joining me in this community event to support the children impacted by the war in the beautiful country of Ukraine.
We always can find ways to help and I and my family are grateful you are joining us. Enjoy the concert!

Ms Bridget Corrigan is from New England, where she studied the Suzuki method for fourteen years. In addition to her classical training, Ms. Bridget specializes in fiddle music, performing in Ireland and honing her Celtic style in various New England bands. Bridget encourages her students to develop improvisational skills from an early age while mastering violin techniques.
Ms. Bridget has been Kareli's teacher for almost 3 years and she has become part of our family, her instruction, ethics, and approach to teaching violin had created a consistent love for music and the dedication required to learn the instrument. We are honored to have her join us in this effort

Hello! My name is Julia, and I am 11 years old. I have been playing the cello for about 4 years and have joined BYSO (Bellevue Youth Symphonia Orchestra). I know that it is hard for the people in Ukraine because of the war, but I want them to know that I care for them.

Ariel started taking cello lessons out of curiosity when she was six years old and has continued to enjoy playing this instrument since, under the guidance of her wonderful teacher, Anastasia Ermolaeva. Ariel is in 3rd grade and when not busy with school work, dance, and music lessons, she spends her time playing with her younger brothers, drawing, reading, writing funny stories, riding her mountain bike, and climbing trees. She loves dogs, guinea pigs, donuts, and candy canes.

Olga is 6 years old, she has been playing violin since she was 3.
She enjoys dancing, singing, and playing with her friends.
The Iorik sisters are very devoted musicians, each of them started their musical journey at the age of five. First, both started to play the piano. And then, also both, cello. Now Nina can also play the harpsichord and Rita plays guitar.
The Iorik sisters have been known as folk singers as well, they performed a lot in different cultural festivals, recitals, and concerts as soloists and as a duet. They also won numerous awards in different competitions across the USA and internationally.

I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine and moved to Seattle with my family when I was 1. My family and friends are very important to me. I have always loved singing, but during quarantine 2 years ago I started taking virtual voice lessons from Ukraine. I have been doing ballet since I was 3 years old and now continue my dance path with ballroom dancing which I only started 2 years ago. Last August I visited Ukraine and it was so amazing. I love Ukraine so much and it’s so sad and heartbreaking to see what is happening during the war. Thank you so much for joining us here at this event to support Ukraine

Hi everyone, my name is Daniel, and I am 11 years old. I started cello when I was in kindergarten, and my favorite piece is Suite 1 Prelude by Bach.
For the concert, I will be playing Amazing Grace as a duet with my brother, and Suite 1 Prelude as a solo piece.
My name is Joshua Lee. I am 8 years old, and I have started cello since I was in kindergarten. I am attending BYSO and my favorite piece is Bach prelude c major No.

Talia Bernstein, the winner of the 2022 Edmonds Music Teachers Association Voice Competition, is a 14-year-old soprano who has been studying singing and piano with Shih-Yi Kuan since 2019.
Her teacher, Shih-Yi Kuan, graduated, with distinction, from the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz, Austria, with a diploma in Lieder and Oratorio and a diploma in Opera Performance. Shih-Yi is also the winner of the Audience Prize at the prestigious Meistersinger Competition in Austria.
Talia Bernstein has a powerful voice which is far more mature than most singers her age. Talia has power, artistry, and a secure technique. Her voice range is about 3 octaves.

Lindsey Dabek (vocals) and Ryan Asbert (guitar) are musicians/performers who have worked together in numerous stage productions and several bands over the past five years. Both musicians are honored to be asked to play for this event and thank the International Ballet Academy for the opportunity to participate.

Is a vocalist/percussionist frequently performing with the bands Onda Verde and Show Brazil! Dabek and Asbert together have both been a part of the rock band Shipyard Rose and regulars with The Cheese Adjusters as a part of Midnight Mystery Theater, which is live read radio style comedy. Both performers are regular players with Midnight Mystery Theater and members of the Board of Directors for the Radio Enthusiasts of Puget Sound, a local non-profit organization celebrating the history of radio entertainment.

Is a vocalist, guitarist, bassist and an actor, specializing in voice work and radio style plays. Notable acting credits include the roles of: Happy Loman in Death of a Salesman, George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play, Fred Gailey in Miracle on 34th Street: A Radio Play, Bernard in Boeing, Boeing and Danny M2 in Annie Baker's The Antipodes. Outside of theater and music, Ryan works with film/audio editing projects and spends his workdays as a software engineer.

Daniel Choi
Daniel Choi is a Newport High School sophomore who has been playing the cello for 9 years. Competing and placing in various competitions such as the International Grande Music competition, North International Competition, New York Laureate Competition, and Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside, Daniel has an active involvement in cello playing. He is a member of the Newport Chamber Orchestra and the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra, and has been accepted to All-State and All-Northwest.
Claire Doh
Claire Doh is currently a sophomore at Newport High school, and is part of Newport's Chamber Orchestra as well as a member of the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra. She has been playing the cello for 8 years, and since then has distinguished herself in numerous competitions such as IGMC, MTNA and PAFE. Claire has also been accepted into the All State and All Northwest Orchestras in the past.

Hi, I have played cello for six years. I am currently attending Newport High School as a sophomore student and have been a part of the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra for 4 years. I have also shown my abilities in playing the cello in competitions such as PAFE, as well as getting into All-State. Along with my experiences playing the cello, I am also familiar with serving the community with my music, as can be seen by my years playing for my church.

Ike is a Junior at Newport High School, and has been playing the cello for almost 6 years. He is part of Newport's Chamber Orchestra, and part of the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra. Ike has been accepted into the All State orchestra numerous times, and has performed with chamber groups for many fundraising events in and outside of school.

My name is Kevin, currently 15 years old, I’ve played the piano since I was 4. With past successes in competitions and solo recitals, as well as being the founder of a steadily growing YouTube channel, I’ve grown sensitive to music.
To me, music provides not only the possibility to express oneself, but it also gives way to healing our scarred world. One may speak in a different tongue, and live in different countries,
but music will still be understood by all.

Anastasia made her first steps in dancing at the age of 4. And by the age of 8 she and her hip-hop dance group has participated in multiple performances winning first and second places in the competitions, such as Spotlight. This year Anastasia started working on her solo program picking up and mastering such techniques as popping, waving and other.

Darina Suprun, Anastasia’s dance teacher, started her dance career in 2013 in Dnipro, Ukraine. And it became her main passion of life since then. Darina participated in many shows and competitions back in Ukraine till about 3 years ago, when she came to US to continue her professional career as a dance teacher.
